Am Gries is the name of the pedestrian zone in the middle of Lana. 14 m high, 7 m wide, carved from chestnut wood and gilded. The largest winged altar in the entire Alpine region, one of the most beautiful works of South Tyrolean late Gothic by Hans Schnatterpeck. The parish church of Niederlana is only open during church services and guided tours; the latter take place from April to October from Monday to Saturday at 11:00 and at 15:00.

St. Margarethen Church is one of over 30 monasteries, churches and chapels in Lana – a true art-historical treasure. Guided tours of the Romanesque three-apsed church, with its extensive fresco cycle dating back to around 1215, take place on Wednesdays from April to October between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm.

Braunsberg Castle was built around 1150 on the edge of the Gaul Gorge. The medieval landmark of the market town of Lana is privately owned by the Counts Strachwitz since 1969. It is not possible to visit the castle, but events are often held there.

Small, unspoilt hiker's paradise, above Lana at 1,700 m above sea level. Hurtle up on hiking trails or with the antique cable car, built in 1912 and modernised in 2008.

Laugenspitze is the highest mountain in the Nonsberg Group at 2,434 meters. Pleasant, impressive mountain hike. Sure! 360-degree panorama from the summit. Circular hike from the Gampen Pass: 4.5 hours walking time, 7.6 km route and 910 metres elevation gain.

Ulten Valley with deep forests, clear mountain lakes, impressive alpine pastures and peaks: one of the most unspoilt valleys in South Tyrol. Immerse yourself in the green! Over 40 km in length.

Kränzelhof: medieval manor house, restaurant, labyrinth garden, winery since 1350. An experience! Guided tours of the winery with wine tasting take place on Mondays and Wednesdays at 16:00.

Golfclub Passeier Meran and Golfclub Dolomiti in Sarnonico, in the neighbouring Nonsberg, can be reached in 30-45 minutes and Golf Club Eppan is only a 20-minute drive away from the hotel.

Take a breath! At this special place on a 758 m high hill in Naraun near Tisens, with a unique view over the entire Etschtal valley. Hikes to the little church can be started from Lana, Völlan or Tisens.

The spa town of Merano with its shopping arcades and promenades is a real must-see. An art-historical city tour takes you on a journey through the Middle Ages to modern times.

The Kunsthaus Meran is an exhibition house and shows changing exhibitions on artistic positions in the visual arts, architecture, literature, music, photography and new media on three floors.

The gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle show a wide variety of plants from all over the world in over 80 garden landscapes. A unique mix of botanical garden and leisure attraction for young and old, botany experts and newcomers.

Bolzano is the vibrant centre of South Tyrol. The provincial capital attracts visitors with a multitude of shops and boutiques, historic squares, fine gastronomy and a rich cultural offering.
